The rumour mill has been working overtime and the latest is that Deco’s agent is expected in Milan on Wednesday to hold talks with Internazionale. The FC Barcelona playmaker has been linked with a switch to Serie A several times, despite his insistence that he wants to stay at Camp Nou.

Barça are again being linked with Chelsea’s Frank Lampard and with both Xavi and Andrés Iniesta providing the creativity in the centre of the park this season, it may not be seen as a risk to cash in on Deco at this stage. Deco is seen as a potential replacement for Luis Figo, who is set to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad in the summer.

To be honest, I hope he does leave. His form has been dismal thorughout the season despite his injury. It would be nice to see Lampart come in and play with Iniesta and Xavi. Deco is the only player I don't mind leaving. His absence can also create an opportunity for Giovanni Dos Santos to get playing time next season.
