According to sources, former World Cup winner and current ESPN analyst Mario Kempes is expecting to make a move back to his native Argentina to join the channel’s operations there. The former Valencia and River Plate star calls Bristol, CT home for the past four years and became a vital part of the ESPN International and ESPN Deportes soccer transmissions in Spanish.

ESPN Latin America is cutting production costs.

Note the following:

Euro 2008 matches on ESPN Latin America and ESPN Deportes have English-language graphics. The announcers are NOT identified by the graphics at all.

They have always done that. They also do top of the hour resets where they put talent. They do it for Champions League and their International matches. They are in English whether they are produced in Bristol or in Buenos Aires.

If the matches are produced in Mexico, then they are with Spanish graphics.
