    Andy,

I thought ESPN had bought the rights to some of GOL TV’s games in a way that GOL TV could still simulcast a game that ESPN was going to air. It seems that it is either/or. If ESPN has the game, GOL TV will not play it. I thought GOL TV could play the game as well?! If they cannot, why do they choose to let go of Barca games?!! I would think they would hold onto those as I am sure they have the highest ratings. I do not have ESPNDeportes as I cannot afford to buy yet another package just for that one channel. And I would prefer to watch Barca games on television instead of the internet (ESPN360).

    Can you explain?

    Thanks

Aside from the Real Madrid-Barcelona El Clásico matchups, there is no simulcasting with ESPN and Gol TV. As for your question about Barcelona matches, ESPN and Gol TV share the Real Madrid and Barcelona matches for every round of matches, so when one is on Gol TV, the other is on ESPN. If the Real Madrid or Barcelona matches are on ESPN on a Saturday, it is highly unlikely to be on ESPN2 due to college football and college basketball.
The fact that at least nine of the ten La Liga matches are on US TV every week is quite stunning, considering that the max used to be four games a week just last season. Sorry about your predicament, but continue to watch La Liga however possible and support this website.

    ¡Feliz año nuevo!

Thanks for the info, Andy. I guess I am spoiled from last season when I could watch virtually every Barca game on GolTv. I will keep watching Barca games on ESPN360.

    Happy New Year!
