Meet the reg­u­lar con­trib­u­tors of La Liga Talk:

Juan Arango. After months of float­ing in the nether­world of 20-something inde­ci­sion, Juan was able to find his two pas­sions and con­vert them into a path to self-fulfillment.

Juan started his writ­ing career with Goal.com as the South Amer­i­can and La Liga cor­re­spon­dent.  His suc­cess as well as con­tro­ver­sial arti­cles quickly estab­lish­ing him­self within that pub­li­ca­tion for the three years he was asso­ci­ated with them.  Out­side of work­ing for La Liga Talk, Juan has also wrote for the Uruguay World Cup Blog, and is also the South Amer­i­can cor­re­spon­dent for Sloven­ian sports daily, Nogo­ma­nia.  Juan cur­rently is in the mid­dle of start­ing his own web­stie, Mad About Fut­bol which will cover the big leagues in South America.

In addi­tion to the writ­ing, Juan works in the tele­vi­sion indus­try for the past five years.  He worked in com­pa­nies like Gol TV and ESPN Iner­na­tional both in front of and behind the camera.

George D. Metel­lus is a prod­uct of many dif­fer­ent influ­ences that have forged his love of football/soccer and life. It began with his Hait­ian upbring­ing, con­tin­ued with his child­hood in Miami, 4-year ser­vice in the U.S. Air Force and a proud degree from The Uni­ver­sity of Miami. ITS ALL ABOUT THE U!.  The inter­est in writ­ing came via radio. At WVUM 90.5 FM, George & three friends cre­ated a talk show ded­i­cated to soc­cer and it grew into a pod­cast called, Mad About Fut­bol. It strength­ened as a board op/producer at WQAM 560 AM and led to posi­tion writ­ing for Goal.com. He is also the pub­lic address announcer of UMi­ami soc­cer & track events.  The Miami native con­tin­ues to con­tribute to Mad About Futbol.com and lists his favorite football/soccer clubs as: Miami Hur­ri­cane Amer­i­can foot­ball, FC Barcelona, FC Inter­nazionale Milano, Brazil­ian & Hait­ian national teams. His favorite quote is from Yoda in Empire Strikes Back. “Do or do not, There is no try,”

The Gaffer, founder of La Liga Talk, has been fol­low­ing football/soccer for more than 30 years. Born in Wales, he is a for­mer jour­nal­ist who now lives in Florida and spends his time ana­lyz­ing the influ­ence of soc­cer world­wide. His writ­ing cre­den­tials include The Palm Beach Post, Palm Beach Illus­trated, South Florida Sun-Sentinel and the now defunct Match­day Mag­a­zine.
