Sevilla’s Kanoute Shows Spurs How to Do It

Watching Sevilla’s convincing 4-1 win against Recreativo de Huelva was a joy especially with the sublime skills of Fredi Kanoute on show again. The manner in which he plays is a beautiful thing to behold. He seems so at ease with himself and the ball that a one-on-one with an opposition goalkeeper doesn’t phase him at all.

Contrast that with his former club and Darren Bent’s one-on-one against Arsenal from Saturday and you can easily see the difference in skill between him and Kanoute. How Spurs must have wished Fredi didn’t leave Spurs for Spain.

I can’t wait to watch Sevilla against Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday at 2:30pm ET, live on Setanta Sports.

Kanoute is a special player who both Spurs and West Ham failed to get the most from.
